CSRD enthusiast and early adapter. She was responsible to create the yearly sustainability reports at Arla (DK), implementing CSRD guidelines. In her current role, she keeps innovating the evolution of ESG reporting frameworks and standards and is familiar with the latest trends in sustainability.

Gemma Sanchez Danes
Leadership team - Sustainability reporting (ESRS), EFRAG

Gemma Sanchez-Danes is a Sustainability Reporting Leader specializing in the Social dimension. She oversees EFRAG's SR Social team across sector-agnostic, SME, and sector-specific standards, leading the Materiality Assessment workstream and impact materiality research. She also contributes to financial services sector standards, drawing on her background as a former Big Four partner in the UK and Spain. Before joining EFRAG in 2021, she trained as a chartered accountant in Bristol, working with international banking and insurance clients.
